Rock CF is hitting the island for the 14th Annual Rivers Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, March 9th, 2025 for all to come and help us outrun cystic fibrosis!
Rock CF is a community, thousands strong, changing the face of what living with cystic fibrosis looks like and giving those living with CF the tools to not only survive, but thrive. 100% of all proceeds support the mission of the Rock CF Foundation.
Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death for ages 10-24. More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, COMBINED.
On Dec 26, 2018 this unfortunate statistic affected Adam Holten, his family, extended family, friends and the community. We lost a very good person to suicide. Adam affected many people’s lives with his presence, his smile, his laughter, his handshakes and his ability to reach out and lift other people up.
Since his passing we have created a non profit organization – Strides for Adam to continue his legacy of service to others and keep his memory alive.

The Memorial Day 5k Race, a longstanding favorite on the island, is back! Previously hosted by the Island Road Runners, the event is now under the care of Conz Productions—but don’t worry, the race you know and love remains largely unchanged. Runners can still choose between the 5k and 8k routes, while kids can enjoy a free, one-mile fun run (note: T-shirt and medal not included for the fun run). The race will kick off on May 26th at Grosse Ile High School.
Registration Details:
5k: $40 until May 1st, after then $45 until race day
8k: $45 until May 1st, after then $50 until race day
Register by May 1st to guarantee your race T-shirt! Registrations after this date will still receive a medal, but T-shirts will no longer be available.
Please note: Participants who register within 5 days of the race are not guaranteed a medal, so sign up early to secure yours!

Cabrini is excited to welcome Monarchs and the larger community to join us for the Monarch 5K and Fun Run! This is an annual public running event that is held on the Saturday of our Parish Festival each year. The running route begins on our campus and winds through the adjacent Allen Park neighborhood. It will include a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk and a 5K Run/Walk, both events are open to all ages.
Register in advance at https://runsignup.com/ by May 22 ($30 early bird price includes a t-shirt); registration after May 22 is $35 and DOES NOT include a t-shirt. Online registration will close on June 8 at 9 am (shirt NOT available)
Participants have three race distances to choose from: 5K, 8K, or Half Marathon! The Half Marathon course is gorgeous, fast, and flat with only 96’ of elevation gain. The 8k course offers a little more variety with rolling hills in gorgeous Elizabeth Park at the start. You’ll also enjoy the Trenton Summer Festival atmosphere in downtown Trenton!
The 5k is a great race for a fast time (the course record is 15:24.07) or to get out and enjoy a fun run or walk with friends.
