EPAC
The Wayne County Community College District’s Heinz C. Prechter Educational and Performing Arts Center (EPAC) offers a vibrant and diverse performance program to the college community every season, as well as serving as the intellectual and cultural heart of the Downriver community.
EPAC is known for its commitment to bringing engaging professional performances of the highest caliber to its exceptional venue. It features a range of programs and facilities that support the work of the Wayne County Community College District’s (WCCCD) faculty, students, visiting artists, scholars, arts organizations and community partners.
EPAC enriches and builds community through a diverse, world-class presenting season, bringing to the Downriver community and to the District performers from around Michigan, the United States and the world. Offerings include marquee headliners, touring theatre pieces, children’s programming and a variety of acts.
Also located in EPAC is the Brown and Juanita C. Ford Art Gallery. The gallery features the work of nationally and internationally renowned artists.
Additionally, the venue hosts the District’s student achievement ceremonies, community enrichment activities, unique live entertainment, art exhibits and also popular continuing education programs.
The 78,000 square-foot Heinz C. Prechter Educational and Performing Arts Center features an 812 seat theatre, state of the art technical amenities, studio/rehearsal space, a gallery for the visual arts, up to 14 classroom/seminar rooms, all on the beautiful, wooded, 97-acre Downriver Campus.
